I just received my Helen crossbody bag in Babylon Blue crafted in Ubrique, Spain.
What a sensual experience touching this bag for the first time! It is so soft and smooth I found myself rubbing it against my cheek. The shrunken lambskin has some texture, the inside calfskin is smooth. The leather scent is pleasant and not overpowering. Overall my first impression is: I want another one!
What I can fit in the bag next to each other: my large size iPhone, reading glasses in a case, slender bifold wallet. On the ends I can fit my asthma inhaler, lip moisturizer, and two tiny pouches for medications, etc.
The zippered interior compartment is big enough for the enormous French carte d’identité, so definitely big enough for standard size US drivers licenses, credit cards. I could slip my bifold wallet in, but I can’t zip the pocket.
I was really pleased I could fit my reading glasses in as well as my phone and medication. If you want to carry sunglasses in addition, you can put them on top of the other stuff, but it won’t be as convenient.
I wish more purse makers would realize that women over 40 usually need space for reading glasses AND sunglasses and make the purses just that much bigger.
It seems weird to say I’m enchanted with this little bag, but I am. When it first arrived I thought it was cute. But then the more I’ve used it, it has just grown on me. It’s small and lovely with impeccable construction and such a retro feel. I purchased the red, and it’s the perfect shade. I was sad when I saw that they were sold out of the electric blue color, if they bring it back I’ll definitely purchase one. But this red is just gorgeous. Also, I used to live in Spain, so I know the craftsmanship is perfection. And this is the perfect reminder of my life there.

The size and quality of this bag is outstanding. I just love feeling the bag and the leather smell is fabulous! This is not my first purchase from here and I will continue coming back. I am tired of paying way too high of prices for the fashion houses and the quality does not even come close to PEGAI.
I just received my Helen bag in navy. It was beautifully packaged. The leather and craftsmanship is exceptional; exactly what I was looking for. The gorgeous leather lining is buttery soft. I can adjust the strap for crossbody or make it shorter to fit under my arm. It will easily fit my phone, lip gloss, key fob and leather card holder. No need to spend $$$ for a subpar leather bag with branding all over it- Pegai bags are far superior.
