In my family-owned workshop, these exquisite materials are transformed into unforgettable leather goods, offering you a true artisan experience.
Before Tanner became fully dedicated to leather crafting, he worked as a cab driver, sold textiles, and drove trucks. These varied experiences enriched his perspective and led him back to his true calling: leather crafting.
Growing up in a family with a leather tannery, Tanner was exposed to the intricacies of leather manufacturing from a young age. Winning a green card lottery allowed him to migrate to the US, where he pursued further education at the University of Chicago. After a brief stint as a consultant, he realized his true passion lay in leather.

The Birth of PEGAI
Frustrated by the lack of well-crafted leather briefcases, I decided to create my own. Leaving my consultant job, I became a cab driver while teaching myself leather crafting through YouTube. With tools and leather sourced from Turkey, my brother and I launched PEGAI on Etsy.
One night, we received a bulk order for leather passport wallets. Overwhelmed yet excited, we worked tirelessly to fulfill it. This marked a turning point, and PEGAI's orders grew steadily. I was soon able to focus entirely on my leather business.
Expansion to Atelier PEGAI
As PEGAI continued to grow, I noticed a rising demand for a different kind of leather experience—something more relaxed, personal, and artisanal. To meet this need, we introduced Atelier PEGAI, a sister brand born from the same passion but crafted with a different spirit.
While PEGAI delivers polished, fashion-forward designs at accessible prices, Atelier PEGAI embraces rustic, unstructured craftsmanship and personalized touches, offering relaxed, timeless pieces at a lower cost. Together, the two brands reflect the full range of what I love about leather: both the refined and the raw, the structured and the soulful.
Leading STOW London Forward
In early 2025, I named STOW London the Best Value Luxury Bag of 2024 in a viral dissection video. Their craftsmanship, leather, and hardware rivaled ultra-luxury brands—but at a fraction of the price. The review sparked such demand that STOW shifted to preorder-only for 8 straight months.
Then, fate intervened: a chance meeting with STOW London’s owner led me to invest and become Director of Craftsmanship. Now, I oversee design, leather selection, and manufacturing for STOW London. Every piece is made in-house at our Ubrique atelier using exquisite leathers from a famous tannery used by luxury houses in Barcelona. Most designs are pre-order only, ensuring meticulous attention to detail. All bags ship directly from Ubrique, Spain.
